3 steps

Set up in a minute

  1. Search on sahibinden, sort by newest

Name the lane, then narrow it

On sahibinden.com, go into the antiques and collectibles part of İkinci El ve Sıfır Alışveriş and choose your type of object. In the search box use the exact name sellers write: a label, a watch model, a console, an actor from a Yeşilçam poster. Set a price range, use kimden if you only want private sellers, and switch the order to Tarihe göre (Önce en yeni ilan).

  2. Copy the link, paste it into mxsender

Paste the URL and pick email

Copy the address of the filtered results and add it in MXSender. Choose email as the channel; Telegram is the other option. Free and Starter mail one address, Pro up to three.

  3. New listings land in your inbox

    Read one message per check

Whenever a check turns up new listings, they come together in a single email, each with a photo, a price and a link to the ilan. A check with nothing new sends nothing, and every mail ends with an unsubscribe link.

What to ask an heir about a watch, a record or a coin

Start with the questions that sort genuine pieces from reproductions. For a record: which pressing, which label, how it plays, the state of the sleeve. For a watch: whether the movement and dial are original, when it was last serviced, whether there are papers. For coins and stamps: clear photos of both sides and any mark or perforation detail. For retro computers and consoles: does it start, are the cables and box the original ones. Where the piece came from is a fair question for all of them.

Someone emptying a parent's flat usually answers without fuss. Vague replies, refusal to send more photos or pressure to decide quickly are reasons to slow down. Never send a deposit for something you have not seen, meet in a public place and pay only after you have handled it. With valuable antiques and old coins, check the applicable rules on buying them before you agree.

The patient collector's case for an inbox

Not every collector wants a buzzing phone. If you sort through finds at your desk, compare carefully and write considered messages, email fits the rhythm: the mails wait until you open them, and nothing has to be installed on a work computer.

Timing still matters, because underpriced pieces from house clearances go to whoever writes first. Your search is checked every 30 minutes on Free, every 10 minutes on Starter and on the fastest schedule on Pro.

Six stamps in one mail, priced against each other

A broad search can catch several listings in one check. Seeing them together in one message makes outliers obvious: one cover priced far under the rest, one watch twice what its siblings ask. Open the outlier first; it is either a seller in a hurry or a detail worth reading twice.

From Yeşilçam posters to old consoles: wording each search

A search for just „antika“ fills every mail with furniture and reproductions. A search for one catalogue number may stay silent for a year. The useful middle is one object type plus the word sellers use, with a price cap you would honour.

Spelling is where grails hide: names written with or without Turkish letters, nicknames, the actor instead of the film. Give a true grail two or three searches. Bundle words such as koleksiyon or arşiv deserve their own search too, since undescribed lots hide the bargains. Free carries one search, Starter five, Pro twenty.

A folder that records what a pressing was listed for

Route the alerts into a folder with a mail rule. After a few months, searching it shows what a given pressing or watch model was listed for and when, which is useful the next time a seller names a price.

❓Frequently asked questions

One email per listing?

No, one per check. Everything new from that check is in the same message.

Are listings already on the site included?

No. Whatever is there when you add the search is the baseline; you receive only what appears later.

Can my collecting partner get the mails too?

On Pro you can add three addresses. Free and Starter send to one.

Does MXSender check whether a piece is genuine?

No. We report new listings; judging originality, condition and provenance stays with you and the seller.

How do I stop the emails?

Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any mail, or pause or delete the search in your account.
