Get new Zillow listings by email

A house hunt runs for weeks and involves a lender, an agent and a partner, so getting the new homes from your Zillow search as one tidy email per check keeps the whole story in a folder you can search.

3 steps

Set up in a minute

  1. Search on Zillow, sort by newest

    Narrow the Zillow results first

Pick For sale or For rent, enter the city or ZIP code, then set the price range, beds, baths and home type. Use the map to cut out streets you would never live on and choose newest as the sort. When the page shows only homes you would actually tour, copy its link.

  2. Copy the link, paste it into mxsender

Save it with email as the channel

Paste the link on our website or send it to the MXSender Telegram bot, choose email and confirm the address. Telegram can be switched on alongside it. Name the search after the area and budget so a mail’s subject tells you which hunt it belongs to.

  3. New listings land in your inbox

    Read one mail per check

Each time a check finds listings that were not in your results before, one email lists them all with a photo, the price, the title and a link to Zillow. Homes already listed when you saved the search are not sent.

The mistake of watching an entire county on Zillow

A search for every three-bedroom under $450,000 across a whole metro returns more homes than anyone can tour, and an alert built on it turns into noise you start ignoring. Then the one house on the street you love gets three offers while the mail sits unread.

Cut it down: two or three neighborhoods, a price ceiling you would really pay, the minimum bedrooms. If the area is big, make two searches rather than one huge one. A mail you open every time is worth more than a mail that covers everything.

A Gmail or Outlook folder for each house hunt

Email suits buying because buying produces paperwork. Create a rule that moves our alerts into a folder per search, star the homes you toured and reply to yourself with notes after a showing. Months later, when the appraisal comes in low, you can still find the listing you first saw and what it was priced at.

Each mail ends with an unsubscribe link, so stopping is one click once you close.

Help the first Zillow mail find you

Where a message lands is your provider’s decision. Once the first match should have arrived, look in spam and in tabs like promotions, mark our mail as not spam and add the sender to your contacts. After that, filters and folders do the rest.

Questions for the agent or landlord behind a listing

Ask how long the home has been on the market, whether offers are already in and when the seller will decide. For a rental, ask who manages it, and check that name against the county property records. Never wire money for a place you have not seen, and treat any change in wiring instructions near closing as suspicious until you have confirmed it by phone with your title company. Rental application fees are legal in most places, but limits depend on the state.

Inboxes, searches and check speed on each plan

Free: one search checked every 30 minutes, alerts to one address. Starter, $5.99: five searches checked every 10 minutes, one address. Pro, $14.99: twenty searches, the fastest checks and alerts to three addresses, so you, your partner and your agent each get the same list. Email and Telegram are included on every plan.

❓Frequently asked questions

Is it one email per house?

No, one email per check, listing every new home that check found.

Can my agent receive the alerts too?

On Pro, add up to three addresses. On Free and Starter, set up a forwarding rule in your mailbox.

Does it cover rentals on Zillow as well?

Yes. Save a For rent search the same way and the new rentals are mailed to you.

I changed the filters on Zillow. Do I need to do anything?

Yes, copy the updated link and replace the old one in MXSender, since we follow the link you saved.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Email needs only an address you can confirm.

Why did the first mail take a while?

The first check only notes what is listed now; a mail comes once something new joins your results.
