mobile.de buying leads for car traders, by email
Three questions decide whether a car is worth buying to resell, and an email of fresh candidates lets you answer them before the seller has taken another offer.

Search on mobile.de, sort by newest
One mobile.de search per model you can sell
For each model that sells well for you, set make, model, a year range, a mileage cap, gearbox and fuel, and a price ceiling equal to your highest purchase price. Restrict to private sellers if that is where you buy, and pick a radius where collection pays off. Sort newest first and copy the address.

New listings land in your inbox
Use the email as a working list
A check that finds new vehicles sends one email listing them, each with photo, price and link. A check with nothing new sends nothing.

Question one: what will it sell for?
The answer comes from your side of the market, not from the ad. Know what this model, year and mileage fetches when you sell it, and how long it usually stands before it goes.
Your inbox helps here over time. Because emails stay, a search of your mail program by model name shows what comparable cars were listed for on mobile.de in recent weeks.
Keep the searches narrow for the same reason. An email with four cars you understand gets read properly; one with forty gets skimmed and the good one is missed.
Question two: what will it cost to make it sellable?
Preparation, tyres, a service, small body repairs, transfer, registration and a reserve for warranty claims. Subtract those and your margin from the resale price, and you have the price ceiling that belongs in the search. Tighten it if emails are full of cars that never work out; loosen it if almost nothing qualifies.
Question three: is the car what the ad says?
Check the VIN against the Fahrzeugbrief, the keeper against the seller’s ID, and see the car in daylight. Ask plainly about accident damage and service history. Pay only when car, papers and keys change hands, never a deposit up front to someone you have not met.
Sharing the leads inside a small dealership
On Pro, alerts can go to three addresses; Free and Starter send to one. The buyer, the person who collects cars and whoever does the books can read the same email, reply in one thread and file it as bought or passed.
Your mail provider decides which folder these emails reach. After the first one, check spam, mark it as wanted and save the sender. Each email carries an unsubscribe link.
Plans, and buying cars as a registered trade
Free checks one search every 30 minutes. Starter at $5.99 checks five every 10 minutes. Pro at $14.99 runs twenty with the fastest checks. If a check cannot reach mobile.de, it sends nothing that round.
Regular buying for resale is a trade in Germany: register it and get tax advice. A tidy email archive of purchases makes the bookkeeping easier.
