Germany’s private sellers take the first serious offer

A private owner who prices a car below the market rarely holds an auction. They talk to whoever calls first with a concrete offer and a collection date, and they stop answering once the deal is agreed. Other traders and export buyers watch AutoScout24 Germany for exactly these cars.

See the original registration certificate part II and match the chassis number and keeper. Ask whether the car was financed or leased and whether a bank still holds the papers. Compare the odometer against the service book and the last HU report.

Pay on handover of car and documents. A seller who wants a deposit first, or offers to ship after advance payment, is one to pass on.
