The usual mistake: refreshing arabam.com over lunch

Most private buyers check the site when they remember to: on the bus, over lunch, before bed. The trouble is that a clean, fairly priced family car in Turkey does not wait for lunch. A low-tramer Toyota Corolla or a well-kept Renault Megane at a market price draws calls from other buyers and from small dealers within hours, and the seller books viewings with the first few.

Being first is mostly about being told. A card in Telegram puts the listing in front of you while it is still new, which is when the phone call counts.

Reading an arabam.com card the way a buyer does

The card is enough to sort the pile. If the price is outside your range or the photo already shows a body you did not ask for, swipe on. Tramer, ekspertiz and the notary: checks before money moves

Early alerts also show you the suspicious listings early. A price far below comparable cars, a seller who says they are abroad, or a request for a deposit (kapora) by bank transfer before you have seen the car are reasons to stop, not to hurry.

A normal purchase goes the other way round: see the car in person, take it to an independent ekspertiz, look up its tramer damage history, ask whether there is any lien or seizure (rehin, haciz) on it, and pay at the notary when the ownership transfer happens.
