Used cars on sahibinden, sent to your Telegram

On a Turkish used-car hunt the fairly priced private-seller car goes to whoever rings first, so let each new match land in the Telegram chat you already keep open.

3 steps

Set up in a minute

  1. Search on sahibinden, sort by newest

Shape the car search on sahibinden

Go Vasıta, then Otomobil, then pick the make, series and model. Set a year range, a kilometre ceiling, fuel type, gearbox and your top price, and narrow the il to somewhere you can actually drive for a viewing. Set Kimden to Sahibinden if you want owners only, and sort by Tarihe göre (Önce en yeni ilan).

  2. Copy the link, paste it into mxsender

Paste the results URL into MXSender

Copy the address of that filtered page and choose Telegram as the channel. Email is there too, on every plan, and you can attach more than one channel to the same search.

  3. New listings land in your Telegram

Read the card, then pick up the phone

Each new car arrives as a card: photo, title, asking price and a button that opens the ilan. A hashtag under it names the search it belongs to, and the same chat shows up on your phone and on the desktop app.

Texting a Turkish seller is the slow way to buy

The usual mistake goes like this: a clean Corolla appears, the buyer sends a polite message through the site, and waits. Meanwhile someone else has called, agreed a time, and is already looking at the car. Private sellers in Turkey tend to answer the phone and line up the first few callers; written questions get read later.

A card in Telegram is useful only if it ends in a call. Look at the photo and price, tap the button, read the description, dial, and ask for a concrete viewing slot.

Sahibinden or Galeriden: one filter, two different markets

sahibinden.com is a general classifieds site, and its Vasıta section mixes owners selling their own car with dealer stock. The Kimden filter splits them. Owner listings are where the occasional underpriced car shows up; galeri listings are more numerous and often come with their own paperwork help.

Neither is wrong. If you want both, build two searches and give each its own hashtag, so you always know which kind of seller a card came from.

Tramer, chassis number and the notary before any money

Getting there early also means meeting the dubious listings early. Be patient with an asking price far under similar cars, a seller who is abroad and will have someone else hand the car over, or any request for a deposit before you have seen it.

Check the Tramer damage record, compare the chassis number on the registration with the one on the car, and take it to an independent ekspertiz. In Turkey the transfer is done formally, so let the money change hands at that step, not before.

An Egea hunt and a Clio hunt sharing a chat

Cross-shopping is normal: a Fiat Egea, a Renault Clio and a Toyota Corolla might all fit the budget. Make each a separate search and they all post into one chat, each card tagged with its own hashtag. Tap a tag and only that model's cards are left on screen.

A card can also be forwarded as it is to whoever is coming to the viewing with you. If one search is deliberately broad, mute it: the cards still arrive, but your phone stays quiet.

❓Frequently asked questions

How often is my sahibinden search checked?

Free checks one search every 30 minutes. Starter, at $5.99, checks five searches every 10 minutes, and Pro, at $14.99, covers twenty searches on the fastest checks. Telegram works on all three.

Do cars already on the list get sent?

No. What is on the page when you connect it counts as the starting point; only cars posted afterwards become cards.

I do not read Turkish well. Is the card still useful?

The photo, the price in lira and the model name are readable at a glance. Open the ilan from the button and use your browser's translation for the description.

Can I change the year range later?

Yes. Adjust the filters on sahibinden.com, copy the new address and replace the old one. The card format stays the same.

Is there anything to install?

Only Telegram itself, if it is not on your phone already. The chat works on phone and desktop at once.

How do I stop once I have bought the car?

Pause or delete the search in your account. Muting is the softer option if you still want to watch prices for a while.
