A short checklist before you save an OLX.bg photo search

Do you know the exact model or at least the mount? Have you set a minimum price so that bags and chargers stay out? Is the location right, or would you accept a courier parcel from Varna or Burgas? Is the page sorted with the newest first? Four yes answers mean the mails will be short and useful.

Why an inbox works for slow lens shopping

Many photographers do not buy the first lens they see. They watch prices for a few weeks, learn what a clean copy goes for in Bulgaria, and then move when one looks right. Email suits that rhythm: every mail stays where you put it, you can file the matches in a folder, search old ones by model, and come back to an offer you skipped.

Nothing needs to be installed, and each mail has an unsubscribe link at the bottom if you finish the hunt.

The first mail and the spam folder

Your mail provider decides where our mail lands, not us. After the first match, look in spam or promotions as well as the inbox. If it is there, mark it as wanted and add the sender to your contacts, and later mails are far more likely to arrive in the right place.

Shoot a few frames on your own card and look at them at full size. Ask for the shutter count, check the sensor for dust and scratches, and hold the lens up to light to look for haze or fungus. Try the stabiliser, the autofocus and every button.

For a parcel, use OLX’s delivery option or a courier with cash on delivery so you can open the box before paying where the courier allows it. An unusually low price combined with a request to pay in advance is a pattern worth avoiding.
