Which Bulgarian camera ads disappear by lunchtime

A kit lens or a dusty compact can sit on OLX.bg for weeks. The ones that go are easy to name: a full-frame body from the last two generations at a sensible price, a native fast prime for Sony E or Fuji X, a clean Canon RF zoom, an old manual lens that video shooters adapt. Hobbyists in Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna watch for the same things, and the seller usually answers the first few messages and ignores the rest.

One chat, several lens hunts, sorted by hashtag

Each search gets its own hashtag on every card, so a hunt for a body and a separate one for a 50 mm lens can share one chat without turning into a mess. Body, lens or kit: three ways to word the search

Searching only „Canon“ brings printers, ink and phone cases. Use the model, and for lenses add the focal length and the mount, since the same 85 mm exists for several systems. A minimum price keeps straps, batteries and lens caps out. If a body and a lens are both on your list, save them as two searches rather than one vague one.

Titles come in Bulgarian or Latin letters, but model names like A6400 stay the same, so they make the safest search word.

Checks before you pay for a camera in Bulgaria

Meet somewhere public, bring your own memory card and take a few frames. Ask for the shutter count, look through the lens against light for haze or fungus, try autofocus close and far, and test every dial. Compare the serial on the body with the box or receipt if there is one.

When the item has to travel, OLX’s own delivery option and cash on delivery through a courier are the usual routes. A message asking you to open an outside link to „receive the payment“ or to type card details is a reason to stop.
