Six weeks before Christmas, a Switch for two kids

A parent in Ruse wants a used Switch, ideally with a second pair of Joy-Cons and a family game, without paying shop prices. Checking OLX every evening is not realistic, so one search goes into MXSender with email.

Over the next weeks the mails arrive whenever something new is listed. Two look right; one is in Ruse, one ships from Sofia. The parent compares photos and bundles over coffee and calls the local seller first.

What counts as a fair bundle in your mails

Line up the ads from a week of mails and patterns appear: which consoles come with games, which have the box, which list a second controller. That gives you a feel for a fair price in Bulgaria before you ever contact a seller.

If every mail is full of single games and controllers, raise the minimum price on OLX. If there is nothing at all, widen the location or add the sister model, then replace the link in MXSender.

Inspecting a second-hand console

See it running. Try every controller, look for stick drift, insert a disc if the console has a drive, and let it run long enough to hear the fan. Ask the seller to remove their account or stop it being the primary console, so their profile and parental settings do not stay behind.

If it is posted by courier, choose cash on delivery with inspection and pay once you have looked inside. A seller who insists on a bank transfer before sending is a risk.

Keeping console mails out of spam
