Battery, frame and papers: the e-bike viewing

Ahead of the meeting, ask how old the battery is, what range it gives now, whether the charger is original and where the motor sits. Replacing a worn battery can eat a big part of what you saved.

On the day, ride with and without assist, test the brakes, check the frame welds and fork for cracks, and compare the serial under the bottom bracket with any receipt. Never send money first for a bike you have not seen, and be wary of an unusually low price combined with pressure to decide fast.
