What a too-broad lens search does to your inbox

The common mistake is searching for a brand or a word like „Objektiv“ and nothing else. You get lens caps, cheap filters, film compacts and broken flashes, and after a few days the digests go unread, including the one with the lens you wanted.

Name the focal range and the mount instead, and add a second search for the other way sellers spell it. Two exact searches give you emails worth opening every time.

Wildlife and landscape pull you in opposite directions. Reach matters for marmots and chamois in the Hohe Tauern, where a crop sensor or a long zoom earns its weight. A sweeping view from the Grossglockner road or over the Salzkammergut lakes calls for a sharp wide angle on a high-resolution body.
