A question worth asking: who calls the seller first?

On Divar the answer decides almost everything. A fairly priced washing machine, a sofa in good shape, a car with a clean history: the seller gets a run of calls and chat messages and deals with the first few serious ones. Everyone after that gets „sold“ or no reply.

See the item before paying, meet in a public place, and bring someone along for large purchases. Be careful when a seller asks for an advance payment to „hold“ the item or sends a payment link. For a car or a flat, check the documents carefully before any money changes hands.
