Who follows Prozorro.Sale, and for what

Small businesses look for premises to lease from the state or a city council. Farmers follow land lease auctions in their district. Dealers and contractors watch for vehicles and machinery sold off by state companies or by banks winding down assets. Investors follow small-scale privatisation.

In each case the lot is published, there is a window to register, then bidding decides the price. Hearing about the lot on day one is what lets you prepare properly.

A title and a price are enough to triage

A Viber alert is short on purpose. The title usually tells you what the asset is and where; the price tells you whether it is in your range. That is enough to decide in a few seconds whether to open the link now, save it for the evening or ignore it.

When it is worth a look, the auction page holds what matters: area, address, lease term, encumbrances, documents and the application deadline.

Before you register: documents, viewing, the guarantee fee

Read the lot documents and the auction terms before anything else. Check what the guarantee fee is, the deadline for applications and any conditions attached, for example permitted use of a leased building. Where an inspection is allowed, go and see the asset.

Then register through an accredited e-platform and pay the fees so they arrive before applications close. We only send the alert; legal advice on a particular lot should come from a lawyer.
