Why a bundle with two controllers sells by evening

Ask anyone who has tried to buy a PS5 second-hand in Sofia: the ads that combine a fair price, a second controller and a couple of games get a wave of messages. The seller, often a parent clearing a room or a gamer moving to PC, takes the first buyer who can come today.

Switch consoles behave the same way before birthdays and the winter holidays. A card in Telegram while the ad is new is what puts you near the front of that queue.

One console per search, not one search for all

„Console“ or „PlayStation“ on its own brings in PS4 games, empty boxes, controllers and repair offers. Make one search for the exact model you want, and if you are open to two consoles, make two searches. Each gets its own hashtag in the chat.

Set a minimum price above what a single game costs and most accessory ads vanish from your cards.

Testing a used PS5, Switch or Xbox in person

Ask the seller to have the console switched on when you arrive. Check that it reads a disc if it has a drive, that both controllers connect and that the analogue sticks do not drift. Listen to the fan under load for a minute.

Make sure the seller signs out of their PlayStation, Nintendo or Xbox account, or removes the console as their primary one, so their purchases and restrictions do not follow it. For a Switch, glance at the serial and the Joy-Con rails.

When the console travels by courier

Sellers outside your city often ship through Econt or Speedy. Choose cash on delivery with the option to open and inspect the parcel, and pay once you have seen the console turn on, if the office allows.

Be suspicious of a chat that moves off OLX and ends with a link to „receive money“ or „confirm the shipment“ with your card. Real couriers do not need it.
