A mistake new parents make: one search for the whole nursery

It is tempting to type one broad word and set a high price, then sift through everything. The result is an email full of mattresses, mobiles, sleeping bags and shop stock, and the one good cot is easy to miss. Make one search per thing instead: a cot with a drawer, a specific high chair model, a soft-structured carrier.

Pick private listings to keep out most businesses, and set a price ceiling you would actually pay. If you only collect in person, stay within your city and a sensible radius; if shipping is fine, leave the whole country.

Inbox habits that help you reply first

Good second-hand baby furniture goes to whoever asks first and sounds ready to collect. Send these emails to a folder or label with notifications switched on, so a new match does not hide under newsletters. Since each email collects everything one check found, two or three high chairs sit side by side, which makes comparing quick.

Inspecting a cot or high chair before you pay

Shake the cot gently and look at the slats and the base height settings. On a high chair, test the harness, the tray lock and whether it stands level. A carrier should have intact seams and buckles that click firmly.

What if the first email ends up in spam?

After the first match, look in your spam folder, mark the message as wanted and add the sender to your contacts. Where mail lands is your provider’s decision.

Are listings already on OLX included?

No. The first check records the page, and only listings added later are emailed.

Can I change the price limit later?

Yes. Adjust the filters on olx.pl, copy the new address and replace the link in MXSender.

Will the listings be in English?

No, sellers write in Polish. The photo and price in each entry tell you a lot, and a browser can translate the listing page.
