Is a mail per check fast enough for a used lens?

For a rare fast prime at a fair price, the first serious message often wins, so check your mail as often as you would check the site. For most kit, though, the hunt runs over weeks: the right zoom at the right price turns up eventually, and a calm summary in the inbox suits that pace better than constant pings.

If one item becomes urgent, add Telegram to that single search and keep the rest on email.

A second shooter, a studio, three inboxes

Questions that save a wasted trip across Warsaw

Before you travel, ask the seller three things: a torch-lit photo through the lens from the back to reveal haze or fungus, whether the rings have play, and for a body, the shutter count plus a picture of a plain wall shot at a small aperture to show sensor dust or scratches.

At the meeting, try autofocus near and far, compare the serial number with any box or receipt, and pay once you are happy. If the lens has to travel, use Przesyłka OLX instead of a transfer to a stranger; a payment link from outside OLX or a push to continue in another chat app means stop.

Filing gear alerts so the inbox works for you

Your provider decides where our mail lands. After the first match, check spam and any promotions tab, mark the message as wanted and add the sender to contacts. Every mail includes an unsubscribe link.

Then make a filter that moves the alerts into a folder called Gear. Search it by model name to see the prices you were offered over a month, which tells you quickly when a new ad is genuinely cheap.
