Checklist: is this small-appliance ad worth a reply?

Does the title name a brand and a size you recognise? Is the price clearly below a new one in the shop? Is the seller in a part of town you can reach today? If the answer to all three is yes, open the link and message the seller. If not, let it go; another will come.

That three-question habit suits Viber alerts well. Each message is short enough to judge in a moment, and the good ones stand out once your search is precise.

Small appliances sell on OLX Indonesia faster than you would think

A dispenser, a rice cooker or a 32-inch TV is a cheap purchase, which is exactly why they move quickly. Students, newlyweds and people setting up a kos room all want them, and many will take the first decent one they see. A seller with three replies in the first hour rarely waits for a fourth.

Being among the first to reply is the whole game. A Viber line on your phone shortly after the ad goes up is how you get there without checking the site all day.

Testing a dispenser, rice cooker or TV on the spot

Plug it in. A dispenser should heat and cool; a rice cooker should switch to warm; a TV should show no dead lines or dark patches and should come with its remote. Look at the power cable for tape or burns.

Small items tempt sellers to suggest shipping after a transfer. For a low-priced item that is often more trouble than it is worth; collect it yourself and pay when you have tried it. Never share a code sent to your phone.
