A hot week in Depok and a 1 PK split unit for half price

It is the middle of the dry season, the bedroom is unbearable and a new air conditioner plus installation is more than you planned. On OLX someone in your area is moving into a furnished apartment and selling their year-old split unit cheaply, installation pipes included. Twenty people want it by evening; the first two who call get to see it.

Fridges, washing machines and water heaters follow the same rhythm. They come from moves, renovations and upgrades, they are priced for a quick sale, and they go to whoever is early.

What a Telegram card shows you about an appliance

The photo answers the first questions: the brand on the front, whether it is a top or front loader, whether the AC comes with its outdoor unit, whether the fridge door is dented. Next to it are the title and price, and a button to open the ad. Most cards you can dismiss in a glance; the right one you open at once.

For fridges and washing machines, ask to see them running. A fridge should be cold inside within a short while of being plugged in; a washer should fill, spin and drain. Pay at the handover, not before, and treat requests for a transfer to „book“ the item or for a code from your phone as warning signs.
