Source resale cars on AutoScout24 with email alerts

For small traders who buy cars across European borders, an email per check with every new AutoScout24 match keeps the sourcing pipeline written down and easy to share.

3 steps

Set up in a minute

  1. Search on AutoScout24, sort by newest

Write a buying search, not a wish list

On autoscout24.com pick the make and model you know how to sell, the year band your customers ask for, a mileage cap and the highest price that still leaves a margin after transport and registration. Choose the source countries you buy from, add fuel and gearbox, sort by newest and copy the address.

  2. Copy the link, paste it into mxsender

Add it to MXSender as an email search

Paste the link on the MXSender website and choose email. On Pro you can send the same alert to up to three addresses, for example yours, a partner’s and the person who arranges transport. Telegram can be added too if you want a card on the phone.

  3. New listings land in your inbox

    Work through each alert mail

Every check that finds new cars sends one mail with all of them: title, price, a photo when the ad has one, and a link to each listing. Cars already listed when you saved the search are left out.

A trader’s Tuesday: three countries, one inbox

A small dealer in Austria buys mid-range diesel estates from Germany and the Netherlands and sells them at home. Each morning starts with the alert folder: overnight a Dutch dealer listed two estates, a German private seller added one with a full service book. By nine the dealer has costed transport, written to two sellers and forwarded the third listing to a colleague who is in that region tomorrow.

That rhythm is the reason to use email for sourcing. A mail is a record: it can be tagged, searched by model and kept as proof of the price you saw.

Margins disappear when a good buy is seen late

Cars priced below the market are exactly the ones other traders want. The seller usually answers the earliest serious offer, so finding the listing soon after it appears is where the margin comes from. Our checks follow your plan’s interval; how fast AutoScout24 itself shows a new ad is outside our control.

Splitting searches by source country and model

One search per model and source market gives cleaner mail and a clearer picture of where supply comes from. Starter’s five searches suit a trader with a narrow range; Pro’s twenty searches cover several models across several countries with our fastest checks.

Keep each search honest: a price ceiling that already includes your costs, a mileage cap your buyers accept. Filters that are too loose bury the right car under cars you would never buy.

Paperwork and risk on cross-border buys

Check the service history, the registration documents and a vehicle history report where the source country has one. Inspect the car or have it inspected independently before you pay. Registering an imported car at home means paperwork and costs that vary by country, so price them in. Never pay a deposit to an unknown private seller for a car you have not seen.

Plan sizes for sourcing

Free: one search, checked every 30 minutes, one address. Starter at $5.99: five searches every 10 minutes, one address. Pro at $14.99: twenty searches, the fastest checks, up to three addresses. Check spam after the first alert and mark it as wanted; your provider decides the folder.

❓Frequently asked questions

Yes, on Pro up to three addresses receive each mail. On Free and Starter, forward it.

Is this a bulk data feed?

Does the mail include the seller’s phone number?

No. It has the title, price, a photo when available and the link; contact details are on the listing.

Can I track dealer stock only?

If you filter AutoScout24 to dealers before copying the link, the alert follows that.
