The mistake: one giant search for „anything cheap“

A single wide search with a low price cap looks clever and drowns you in phone cases, broken toys and spare parts. You stop reading the chat, and the one underpriced bike slips past. Resellers who stay with it run several narrow searches, each one an item they can price in their head and resell within a week.

Write the price cap from your numbers: expected resale price minus repairs, transport and a margin you are happy with.

Where underpriced stock comes from in Kazakhstan

Good buys usually come from people with a reason to sell fast: a move to another city, a family emptying a relative’s flat, a student leaving for study abroad, someone who upgraded and wants the old item gone. They price to sell, not to the top of the market, and they answer the first serious message.

Seasonal goods help too: bikes and scooters in early spring, skis and winter tyres as autumn ends.

Buying for resale honestly and safely

Check what you buy as if you were the end customer, because you will be answering their questions. For phones, ask for the box or receipt where possible, check that the device is not locked to someone else’s account, and avoid items whose origin the seller cannot explain. A price far below anything else on the market deserves a second look rather than a fast payment.

Pay on handover. Be honest with your own buyers about repairs and condition; resellers live on repeat customers and reviews.
