Cheap furniture on OLX Kazakhstan, alerts in Telegram

A family moving from Astana to Almaty lists a nearly new corner sofa for a token price on Friday evening and wants it collected by Saturday noon, so whoever replies first wins.

3 steps

Set up in a minute

Search on OLX.kz, sort by newest

Search one piece of furniture at a time

On OLX Kazakhstan, open Home and garden, then furniture, and narrow to the piece: sofas, wardrobes, beds, tables, kitchen sets. Set your city, a maximum price in tenge and the sort to newest. Words like угловой диван or шкаф-купе in the search box help. Copy the link of the results.

New listings land in your Telegram

Look at the photo, then call

Each new listing becomes a card with the seller’s photo, the title, the price in tenge and a button to the ad. Listings online before you added the search are left out.

Moving season and the furniture that goes for almost nothing

People relocate between cities in Kazakhstan for work, and flats change tenants often. When they do, furniture that does not fit the new place is listed cheap or even free, on condition that it leaves fast. Those are the ads that collect a dozen messages in the first hour.

The card shows the photo, so you can judge colour and size in a glance and reply while others are still opening the site.

Measure first, alert second

Before you build the search, measure the wall, the doorway and the lift. A corner sofa that does not pass the door is no bargain. Put the size you need in the search words if sellers in your city tend to write it, and set a price ceiling that includes the cost of a van.

If the alerts are too few after a week, widen the price or add the neighbouring district; if they are too many, add a style or a material.

Collecting a wardrobe in Shymkent or Karaganda safely

Look at the piece in person: check joints, drawers, hinges and the underside of upholstered seats for damage or pests. Ask whether it comes assembled and who takes it apart. Pay when you collect; a deposit to „hold“ an item you have not seen, especially when the seller says they are away, is a common trap.

Bring a helper and a tape measure, and agree the time and the floor number before you book transport.

Several rooms, one Telegram chat

Furnishing a whole flat means several searches. Each one carries its own hashtag, so the bed, the table and the wardrobe stay apart in a single chat. Forward a card to your partner to agree before you call, and mute the search for the item that can wait. The chat looks the same on your phone and on a computer.
