The mistake of buying the first cheap sofa

A sofa at 100 KM feels like a win until you see three better ones the following week. With every new ad landing in the same inbox, you get a feel for what a fair price looks like in your city before you commit.

That is where email works better than a chat: you can search your inbox for „kauč“ and see a month of offers side by side.

It also shows you which sellers relist the same piece at a lower price after a week, which is useful information when you finally call.

Making the first mail land where you look

Your provider decides whether a new sender goes to the inbox, spam or promotions. After the first match, check those folders, mark the mail as wanted and save the sender. A rule that files the mails into a „Stan“ folder keeps the hunt in one place.

What to ask a furniture seller

Exact dimensions, whether it comes apart, which floor and whether there is a lift. Any damage, smell of smoke or damp. For sofa beds, whether the mechanism still opens smoothly.

Pay when you see it and can carry it away. A seller who asks for a deposit to hold an item you have never seen should not get one.

Ask for one photo of the back and the underside as well. Cheap chipboard, missing screws and water marks are easier to spot there than on the front shot the seller chose for the ad.

Sharing the hunt with a partner

On Pro, the same search can send to up to three addresses, so both of you see each new piece without forwarding. On Free and Starter, one address receives the mails, and forwarding a single mail works fine.

If you share one address, a simple rule that forwards mails containing „kauč“ or „krevet“ to your partner does the same job on any plan.

Pricing for a flat full of searches
