Equipping a rental flat: a checklist

Fridge, washing machine, cooker, maybe a dishwasher and an air conditioner. Make one search per item, each with a realistic KM ceiling and the city where the flat is. Decide in advance whether a shop with a warranty or a private seller suits you better.

Then let the mails come in. Over a couple of weeks you will see what a fair price is for each item in that city.

Landlords often keep one search per item for each flat they manage, so they can replace a broken washer quickly between tenants.

Shop or private seller on olx.ba

Appliance shops and repair workshops also sell on olx.ba, often with a short warranty. Private sellers are usually cheaper but sell as seen. Neither is better in general; the ad and a short question tell you which one you are dealing with.

Ask a shop about the length of the warranty and what it covers, and keep the receipt; ask a private seller why they are selling and how long they have owned the machine.
