On kleinanzeigen.de go to Elektronik, then Foto, and type the item the way German sellers phrase it: brand, focal length and aperture, or the body name plus „Body“ if you do not want a kit lens. Add a price ceiling, pick Privat under the seller type if you would rather deal with households than shops, and decide whether shipping is acceptable or you only want things you can collect. Set the order to Neueste zuerst.

Which German photo listings get answered first

Bright primes, popular full-frame bodies and cult compacts all have a used price that every enthusiast knows by heart. When one shows up noticeably under it, several people write within a short window, and the seller tends to reply to the first message that sounds like a serious buyer.

That is the whole point of a Telegram card. You see the photo and the price where you already spend the day, decide on the spot and tap through, rather than finding the ad hours later already marked reserviert.

Questions to send before anyone else does

For a body: the shutter count (Auslösungen), any dust or marks on the sensor, and whether every dial and button still behaves. For a lens: fungus (Pilz), haze, scratches on the front or rear element, and whether autofocus locks reliably without hunting.

Ask for the receipt (Rechnung) and the original box (OVP) as well. Neither proves anything alone, but together they make the history of the gear much easier to believe than one blurry phone shot.

Collect and test, or accept shipping

A meeting lets you bring your own card, take a handful of frames wide open and test focus on something close and something far. Hand over money only after you have held the item, and never send prepayment to a stranger.

If shipping is the only way, stay with the payment option the platform itself offers and ask for a photo of the item next to a note with today's date or your name.

Mount names, spellings and how wide to cast

Sellers describe the same lens three different ways. Run two or three narrow searches with different spellings and the mount in the query, instead of one broad search that drags in every strap and filter. A muted catch-all with a low price cap is still worth having for whole bags sold by people leaving the hobby.
