Camera bodies and lenses from eBay in a Telegram chat

A clean copy of the lens you want at a fair price can disappear from eBay in an afternoon, and a card in Telegram lets you message the seller while it is still there.

3 steps

Set up in a minute

  1. Search on eBay, sort by newest

Build a gear search eBay can answer precisely

Type the model with the mount, „Nikon Z 50mm 1.8 S“ or „Leica Summicron 35“, and choose the camera lenses or digital cameras category. Filter by brand, mount, condition and price, plus item location or ships to. Sort by Newly listed and copy the URL.

  2. Copy the link, paste it into mxsender

Paste the link into the MXSender bot

Send it to our Telegram bot, or use the website and pick Telegram. Email can join the same search if you want an archive. A short name like „Summicron 35“ works best.

  3. New listings land in your Telegram

Look at the cards when they land

Each new listing arrives as a card with the title, the price, a button to eBay and a photo when one is provided. Items already in the results before your first check do not create cards.

Three photographers, one problem

A wedding shooter needs a second body before the season. A student wants a fast prime under a budget. A collector is after one particular rangefinder lens. All three refresh eBay several times a day and still miss listings, because the good ones are asked about by someone else first.

Saving the search in MXSender takes the refreshing away. A card arrives soon after the listing appears, within your plan’s check interval, and you decide in the chat whether it is worth a message.

Telegram hashtags for a gear wishlist

Each search has its own hashtag on its cards, so the prime, the zoom and the backup body can all live in one chat and stay separate. Mute the long-term wishes and keep the urgent one loud. Forward a card to a friend who shoots the same system and ask whether the price is fair; the chat looks the same on Telegram Desktop for a closer look at the photos.

Inspecting a used lens from photos

Ask for pictures of the front and rear glass with a torch behind them; haze, fungus and cleaning marks show up that way. Look at the mount for wear, and ask whether autofocus and image stabilisation work. For a body, ask the shutter count, check the sensor for marks in a photo of a plain wall, and confirm the battery and charger are included.

If a seller avoids those questions, the next card will come.

Buying gear from another country on eBay

Read the seller’s feedback and where the item is located. Check that shipping is insured and what it costs to your country, and expect possible import duties or VAT on arrival. Warranties may not cross borders. Keep payment inside eBay so its buyer protection can help if a lens arrives different from the photos.

How many gear searches each plan holds

Free: one search, checked every 30 minutes. Starter, $5.99: five searches every 10 minutes. Pro, $14.99: twenty searches with the fastest checks. Telegram and email are included in all three.

❓Frequently asked questions

Can I track a lens and its hood separately?

Yes, as two searches. More than one search needs Starter or Pro.

Will cards include auctions?

If your eBay search includes auctions, new auction listings send cards too. The end of an auction does not.

Do I get a card for every listing already on eBay?

No. The first check only notes what is there; cards come for listings added afterwards.

Can I see full-size photos in the chat?

The card shows the main photo when there is one. The button opens all photos on eBay.

Is my eBay account linked to MXSender?

No. We only use the search link you give us; buying happens in your own eBay account.
