Why does the right used part sell so fast?

Because several people with the same broken car are searching at once. When a dismantled Astra or Megane goes up for parts, its mirrors, lights and modules are claimed within days, often by the first callers. Mechanics watch these ads too. If you only search on Sundays, you mostly find what nobody wanted.

A card per new ad means your search keeps running while you are at work, and you hear about the part while the seller still has it on the shelf.

Wording a parts search that finds the part, not the noise

Sellers describe parts in many ways: model codes, generations, Bulgarian or English names, sometimes just the car and „for parts“. Try your keywords on OLX before saving them. If the results miss obvious matches, drop a word; if they are full of unrelated parts, add the part name or the engine code.

For a whole range of parts from one car model, a search for that model in the parts category, without a part name, can work better. Then the cards show every new dismantled car of that type.

Several cars, several parts, one Telegram chat

Each search has its own hashtag, which matters when you are fixing two cars or hunting a door and a bumper at once. Forward a card to your mechanic and ask whether the part fits before you call. The same chat opens on Telegram Desktop if you prefer comparing part numbers on a big screen.

Checking a used part before money changes hands

Ask for the part number or a clear photo of the label and compare it with your old part. For electronic modules, ask whether they are coded to the donor car. With a courier delivery, use an option that lets you inspect before paying, and agree on a return if the part does not fit. Be careful with prepayment to sellers you cannot call back.
