Hard-to-find car parts on OLX.ba, alerted in Telegram

When the part you need for an older car turns up on OLX Bosnia only now and then, a Telegram card with its photo means you hear about it while it is still for sale.

3 steps

Set up in a minute

  1. Search on OLX, sort by newest

Search parts by car and by part

On OLX.ba go to the car parts and equipment area, choose the make and model your part fits, and type the part name or its OEM number into the search. Add a price limit in KM and a region if you want to collect. Sort by newest and copy the link.

  2. Copy the link, paste it into mxsender

Paste the link and pick Telegram

Give it to our Telegram bot or paste it on the MXSender website and select Telegram. Email or Viber can be added alongside. Name the search after the part, for example โ€žPassat B6 headlight leftโ€œ, so the hashtag on each card is obvious.

  3. New listings land in your Telegram

Check the photo against your old part

Every new matching ad becomes a card with the photo, the title, the price in KM and a button into the ad. You can usually tell from the picture whether connectors and mounting points look right before you even open it.

A common mistake: searching only the part name

Type โ€žalternatorโ€œ alone and you will get alternators for every car in the country. Type only the car model and you get every part ever stripped from it. The searches that work combine both: the make and model, plus the part, or better, the part number stamped on your old one. Breakers in Bosnia often put the number in the title for exactly this reason.

If you are not sure of the exact name, run two searches with different wording and let the hashtags tell you which one finds the real matches.

Why a photo in the alert matters for parts

Two headlights for the same model can differ by year, by xenon or halogen, by left or right. A Telegram card shows the photo up front, so you can compare it with your own part and skip the wrong ones without opening a single ad. When a part looks right, forward the card to your mechanic and ask before you call. Keep one search per part, and delete it the day you buy, so the chat stays about what you still need.

Questions to ask a parts seller

Ask which car it came from, the year and the mileage, and whether it was tested before removal. For electronics, confirm the part number matches yours, since coded units may need programming. Ask whether the seller accepts a return if it does not fit. Look at the part before paying when you can, and be careful with requests for advance payment on parts sent by post from someone you do not know.

How many part searches you can run

Free covers one search, checked every 30 minutes. Starter, $5.99, covers five searches every 10 minutes; Pro, $14.99, twenty searches with our fastest checks. Telegram, email and Viber are part of every plan.

โ“Frequently asked questions

Can I search by part number?

Yes, if you type it into the OLX.ba search before copying the link. Only ads that mention it will match.

Will I get parts for other models?

Only if your OLX.ba page shows them. Set the make and model so the page stays narrow.

Can I send a card to my mechanic?

Yes. Forward it like any Telegram message.

I need parts for two cars. Is that possible?

Yes, as separate searches, which needs Starter or Pro.

Does MXSender guarantee the part fits?

No. Check the number and the car it came from with the seller.
