Bundles, modded units and garansi: reading a console ad

Titles often pack a lot in: the model, how many controllers, which games, whether it still has official Indonesian warranty, sometimes the words second or mulus. Bundles look generous but compare the console’s price alone before you decide.

Some ads mention a modified or jailbroken console. Such units can lose access to online services and warranty, so decide in advance whether you want one, and add or exclude those words in your search to keep the cards relevant.

Testing a PS5 or Switch before you pay

Meet somewhere with a TV, or at least a power socket, and switch the console on. Check that the account is signed out, the disc drive reads a game where there is one, the controllers do not drift, the fan is not loud, and the HDMI port is firm. Compare the serial number on the box with the console.

Pay on the spot after testing. A seller who asks for a transfer first, or sends a payment link through a chat, is a reason to walk away.
