Used baby gear from OLX.ua, emailed after every check

For parents in Ukraine who would rather plan the nursery from their inbox than refresh OLX between feeds, each check that finds a new stroller, cot or high chair sends one tidy email.

Checklist: wording an OLX search for a cot or high chair

Name the thing, not the category. A query like Stokke high chair or pendulum cot gets you listings worth reading; the bare word for cot brings every mattress, bumper and mobile in the country. Add the city if you plan to collect it yourself, or leave all of Ukraine if you are happy with delivery.

Set a realistic top price. Too low and the inbox stays empty for weeks; too high and you pay for shop listings. Choosing Приватна особа filters out most businesses. If you are after two different things, make two searches, so each email is about one item.

Why one digest per check suits a family inbox

Email bundles everything a check found into one message, so three new high chairs arrive together with their photos side by side. That makes comparing easier than a stream of separate pings, and the messages stay put: you can file them, search them later and archive the ones you passed on.

Well-priced baby gear still gets snapped up by other parents, so turn on notifications for the folder or label where these emails land. Free and Starter send to one address, Pro to up to three, which helps when both parents and a grandparent want to see the same listings. Each email has an unsubscribe link.

Expiry dates and crash history: the car seat questions

Before you go to see a used car seat, ask whether it was ever in a vehicle during an accident. Check for the approval label, ECE R44/04 or R129, and the date of manufacture stamped on the shell; manufacturers give a recommended service life. Cracks in the plastic, frayed straps or a buckle that sticks are reasons to walk away, whatever the price.

Odesa seller, Kyiv buyer: collecting with inspection

Sometimes the right pram is several cities away. Nova Poshta with inspection on receipt lets you unfold it at the branch, roll the wheels and test the brake before paying. A seller who only accepts full prepayment to a card, or who sends a payment link through a chat app, deserves extra caution.

Locally, meet in daylight and bring the baby’s measurements or the car’s Isofix details so you can check fit on the spot.

How many searches each plan covers

Free checks one search every 30 minutes. Starter, $5.99, checks five every 10 minutes. Pro, $14.99, checks twenty on the fastest schedule we run. Email is included on every plan.
