Checklist: is this search ready to save?

One machine type per search. A capacity or size in the words when it matters, such as kva for generators, amps for welders, litres for compressors. A city you can reach with a pickup. A maximum price that is real, not hopeful. Newest first. If all five are true, the cards you get will be worth reading.

A search for „tools“ in all of Pakistan fails every point and produces a stream of hand tools, toy sets and shop fittings.

Load-shedding and the generator rush

Before summer, when power cuts get longer, demand for used generators and UPS units climbs and well-kept machines at fair prices disappear within a day. The same happens with welding plants when construction picks up. Seeing the ad early is the difference between buying and hearing that a mechanic from the next market already took it.

Running the machine before paying

Ask the seller to start a generator from cold and run it under load; listen for knocking and watch the smoke. Check the hour meter where there is one. Test drills and grinders with a bit or disc, and check cables and plugs. For a compressor, let it fill and see whether it holds pressure.

Ask for the purchase invoice for newer machines, meet at the seller’s workshop or a public place, and do not pay an advance to someone you have not met. Arrange transport for heavy items before you pay.

Telegram on site, cards to the team

On a site or in the workshop, a Telegram card is quicker to judge than an email: the photo shows the condition and the price is right there. Forward it to the owner or the foreman for a yes or no. A broad search can be muted, so it arrives quietly while the urgent one keeps its sound.
