Moving sales: where the furniture bargains come from

The best furniture prices on OLX Pakistan usually come from people with a deadline: families going abroad, officers transferred to another city, students leaving hostels at the end of term. They price to sell within days and give the piece to whoever turns up first with a pickup. In Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad these ads often get several calls on the first afternoon.

Measure first, then save the search

Before you save anything, measure the room, the door and the stairs. Knowing that a three-seater must be under a certain length, or that a wardrobe has to come apart to reach the second floor, saves wasted trips. Put the size or seat count in your search words: „5 seater sofa“, „king bed“, „6 chair dining“.

Keep one search per piece. A general „furniture“ search fills the chat with decor items and plastic chairs.

Looking past good photos of a sofa or bed

Ask for photos in daylight and from several angles. When you visit, sit on the sofa, open every drawer, check joints and legs, and look for termite marks on wooden pieces. Ask what wood it is and whether the polish is original.

Arrange a loader or pickup in advance, pay when you collect, and do not send an advance to a seller you have not met. A moving-sale ad far below normal prices that asks for payment first is a warning sign.

Ask your family on the same chat

Furniture is a family decision. Forward the card to whoever needs to agree, or have the alerts sent into a shared Telegram chat. A broad décor search can be muted so it arrives quietly while the sofa search keeps its sound.
