Austrian baby gear from willhaben in your Telegram chat

Build one willhaben search for each thing your child needs next, and every new ad it turns up arrives as a card in your Telegram chat.

3 steps

Set up in a minute

  1. Search on willhaben, sort by newest

Search Baby and Kind on willhaben by model

willhaben’s Marktplatz has its own area for baby and children’s items. Type the brand and model instead of the generic word, for example Kinderwagen Joolz, Hochstuhl Stokke or Laufrad Woom, because Austrian sellers write their ads in German. Limit the results to your Bundesland and the districts you would actually drive to, give the price a ceiling in euros and sort the list newest first.

  2. Copy the link, paste it into mxsender

Paste the results link into MXSender

Copy that results page and add it as a search in MXSender with Telegram as the channel. Email is on every plan too, so a partner who would rather read mail can follow exactly the same search.

  3. New listings land in your Telegram

Let the cards come to you

Every new ad lands in the chat as a card showing its photo, title and price, with a button that opens it on willhaben. Each search gets its own hashtag, which keeps the pram apart from the cot, and a search you have muted arrives without a sound.

A Saturday in Graz: the pram that was promised by lunch

Picture a well-kept Cybex listed at nine on a Saturday morning on the edge of Graz, at well under half its shop price. By eleven the seller has a stack of messages and has promised it to the first parent who offered to collect that afternoon. Everyone else simply saw it later.

That is the whole argument for alerts on second-hand baby gear. Prams, cots and convertible high chairs are wanted by many parents at once, mostly the same few sturdy models, and sellers tend to go with whoever answered first and sounded ready to come.

Car seats: the crash question, the label, the date

First question for any seller: was this seat in the car during an accident, even a small one? If the reply is vague, walk away. A collision can weaken a shell invisibly.

Next, find the approval label. It names the standard, ECE R44 or R129, and the production date is usually moulded into the plastic underneath. An old seat, a missing label or a frayed harness is reason enough to say thank you and leave without it.

Next size, next season: hunting a step ahead

Clothes on willhaben are often sold as a bundle in one size. Point a quiet search at the size after the current one, say 86/92, and a box of outgrown Gewand will usually cost less than a few single pieces from a shop.

Outdoor toys follow the seasons. A Bobby-Car or a balance bike is most wanted in spring, so a search started in autumn catches families clearing out their cellar before everyone else starts looking.

Forwarding the card to whoever does the pickup

The person who spots the ad is not always the one with the car. Forward the card to your partner, or to grandparents who live closer to the seller, and the photo, the price and the link travel with it.

Plans, and willhaben’s own saved search

On Free we check one search every 30 minutes. Starter at $5.99 covers five searches every 10 minutes, and Pro at $14.99 covers twenty with our fastest checks. Telegram and email come with all three.

willhaben lets you save a search and be told about new matches, and that is worth keeping. With us you choose the channel yourself and get each find as a card in a chat you already have open.

❓Frequently asked questions

Do I have to search in German?

It helps a lot. Austrian sellers use words like Kinderwagen, Gitterbett, Hochstuhl and Kindersitz, so an English query will miss most of the ads.

Is a second-hand cot a good idea?

Usually, if every screw is there and the slatted base is firm. Many parents buy the cot used and the mattress new.

How often is my search checked?

Every 30 minutes on Free, every 10 minutes on Starter, and with the fastest checks on Pro.

Will I get the ads that are already online?

No. Those count as known when you add the search, and only ads that appear afterwards are sent.

How should I pay the seller?

Meet in person, push the pram, fold it, try the brakes, and pay once you have seen it. Never send money in advance to someone you have not met.
