Viewing a used car in Romania without regrets

Ask for the VIN before you travel and check the car’s history through the official sources available to you, including mileage recorded at past ITP inspections. At the viewing, match the VIN on the body with the vehicle identity papers, and the owner’s name with the seller’s ID.

Take the car to a garage you chose. Do not send a deposit for a car you have not seen, and be wary of sellers who are „abroad“ and offer to ship the car through a transport company. Pay when the sale contract is signed and the documents are in your hands.
