Why does the fair-priced Fuji lens never wait for you?

Ask anyone who has tried to buy used glass in Bucharest or Cluj: the listings that sit for weeks are overpriced, and the ones that make sense get a few calls within the first hours and are reserved by whoever sounded serious first. Sellers rarely run an auction; they take the first reasonable buyer.

Checking OLX over lunch and again in the evening means you mostly see what others already passed on. A card in Telegram on the phone you carry anyway closes that gap.

Three olx.ro camera searches worth setting up

A body search: one model, one price ceiling, sorted by newest. Leave out the word kit if you already own lenses, or add it if you do not.

A lens search: focal length plus mount, such as 70-200 Canon RF, with a minimum price that keeps caps, filters and hoods out. A third, looser search for a whole system, like everything Sony E under a set price, works well on a quieter, muted setting so it never drowns out the other two.

Telegram features that help a gear hunt

Meeting an OLX seller with a camera bag

Bring your own body or a lens to test with. Ask to see the shutter count, take a few frames, check autofocus at both ends of a zoom and look through the lens toward a light for haze, fungus or scratches. Match the serial number on the box and the item.
