A car buyer’s checklist before the first call

Decide three things before any ad: the models you would accept, the most you will pay including transfer costs, and what body condition is acceptable to you. Write them into the Divar filters. Then each mail contains only cars you could really buy.

When a mail brings a candidate, call the same day and ask: is the car still available, how many owners, any repainted panels, are the documents ready for transfer? A clear answer to those tells you whether the trip is worth it.
