Jugoton records and Yugoslav relics from olx.ba in Telegram

Somebody in Tuzla is clearing a grandmother’s flat today, and if a box of Jugoton records or a Vučko mascot from 1984 turns up on OLX Bosnia, a Telegram card puts it in front of you first.

3 steps

Set up in a minute

  1. Search on OLX, sort by newest

Narrow OLX Bosnia to the thing you collect

Type the actual object into the olx.ba search box: Jugoton, Vučko, dinar banknote, Iskra telephone. Pick the closest category, add a price ceiling in KM and, if you only want to collect in person, choose your canton or city. Set the order to newest first and copy the address of that results page.

  2. Copy the link, paste it into mxsender

Give the link to MXSender with Telegram

Paste it into our Telegram bot, or on the MXSender website, and keep Telegram as the channel. Email or Viber can be switched on for the same search later. Name it something like „Jugoton LP“ so the cards are easy to tell apart.

  3. New listings land in your Telegram

    Read the card, then decide

Each new ad becomes a card in the chat: the seller’s photo, the title, the price in KM and a button that opens the listing. What was already on the page when you saved the search is skipped.

A Saturday at Baščaršija versus a card on your phone

Collectors in Sarajevo still walk the old bazaar on weekends, but most attic finds never reach a stall any more. They go online the evening a family empties a flat, priced by someone who wants the space back, not the best offer.

Those listings rarely last. A stack of Bijelo Dugme first pressings at a few KM each, or a complete set of Yugoslav Olympic pins, draws a dozen messages before breakfast. Being the first to write is most of the game.

Words Bosnian sellers use for old things

Sellers rarely write „vintage“. Try stari, starinski, antikvitet, kolekcionarski or retro alongside the object name, and remember that some ads from Republika Srpska are written in Cyrillic. A second search for the Cyrillic spelling catches what the Latin one misses.

Keep each search about one object. A search for „gramofonske ploče Jugoton“ produces cards you actually open; a search for „staro“ produces noise.

Checking a Yugoslav-era find before you pay

Ask for close photos of label, serial number or hallmark, and of any damage. Records should show the vinyl itself, not only the sleeve. For coins and banknotes, compare with a published catalogue before agreeing a price.

Meeting in a public place in daylight and paying on handover is the calm default. If a seller wants money in advance for something you have not seen, walk away and wait for the next card.

Why Telegram suits a collector’s hunt

Every search carries its own hashtag, so records, stamps and Sarajevo ’84 souvenirs can live in one chat without blurring together. A card forwards in one tap to the friend who knows pressings better than you. The same chat is on Telegram Desktop when you are at work, and a search you mute arrives without a sound.

❓Frequently asked questions

Can I follow several kinds of collectibles?

Yes. Each kind is one search with its own hashtag. Free covers one search; Starter ($5.99) covers five checked every 10 minutes; Pro ($14.99) covers twenty with our fastest checks.

How often is my olx.ba search checked on Free?

Every 30 minutes. Starter checks every 10 minutes, Pro runs the fastest checks we have.

Will old ads flood the chat when I start?

No. The first check only records what is already listed; you hear about ads that appear afterwards.

Do you value the item for me?

No. You get the title, price, photo and link; the judgement and the deal stay between you and the seller.

Can I get the same search by email too?

Yes. Telegram, email and Viber are on every plan, and one search can use more than one.

Does Cyrillic in an ad break anything?

No. The card shows the title exactly as the seller typed it, in either script.
