Picture a clean Honda Beat posted in Sidoarjo at a fair price. Within the hour the seller has a pile of chats, and the buyer who drives over first usually rides it home. Most people who missed it were not slower to decide, they were simply looking at another app when it went up.

That is the whole case for alerts: you stop scrolling OLX between errands, and the new ad comes to the place you already check all day.

What a card from OLX Indonesia shows you

Writing a search that is neither empty nor endless

A search for a whole category across all of Java will bury you in cards. Pin it to one city or a few neighbouring ones, set a realistic price band, and use the filters the category gives you. If a day passes with nothing, widen the price by a little before you widen the area.

COD, bank transfers and other habits to keep

Meeting the seller and paying on the spot, the familiar COD habit, is the safest default for anything you can carry. Inspect first, then pay. Be careful with a seller who refuses to meet, pushes for a transfer before you have seen the item, or sends a link that asks for your banking login or an OTP code: no genuine buyer or seller needs those.

For vehicles, compare the documents with the bike or car itself before money changes hands.
