A five-point list before you save the bike search

One: decide the type, because a single „sepeda“ link mixes kids’ bikes, spare tyres and gym bikes. Two: set a minimum price so parts and broken frames drop out. Three: add a size if sellers mention it, such as frame 52 or wheel 20 inch for folders. Four: choose the area you will really travel to; a bargain in Medan is no bargain if you live in Bekasi. Five: sort by newest so the link shows fresh ads first.

Cycling in Indonesian cities has grown into a weekend habit, and popular folding bikes and gravel frames hold their value. When one is listed below the usual second-hand price, several riders message within the hour, and the seller often goes with whoever offered to come and pay first.

On any bike, look for cracks around welds and the fork, test the brakes and gears, and note the frame number. Meet in a public place, ride it before paying and skip any seller who wants a transfer first for a bike you have not seen.
