Search on eBay, sort by newest
Search eBay Motors by part number
The most reliable search is the OEM part number, often stamped on the old part or printed in a parts catalogue. Add the make, model and year, choose the parts and accessories category, and set condition, price and item location or ships to. If eBay offers a compatibility check for your vehicle, use it. Sort by Newly listed and copy the link.

A part number beats a description every time
Sellers describe the same part in a dozen ways: „front left“, „driver side“, „LH“, in English or in their own language. A part number cuts through all of that, and it also finds parts listed by breakers who strip whole cars and post hundreds of items without much text.
If you only have the description, run two searches: one with the number and one with plain words. Compare the emails for a week, then keep the one that brings better matches.
Who saves time with an inbox of parts
Owners restoring an older car, where a trim piece may appear twice a year. Small garages that keep a list of parts waiting for customers. People who run a project car on weekends and only want to read about parts on Saturday morning.
Emails can be filed by car, searched by part number months later and forwarded to the mechanic. Pro sends to up to three addresses, handy when the workshop and the owner both want the mail; Free and Starter send to one.
Checking fit, condition and the seller
Confirm the part fits your exact model and year, ideally by number, and ask the seller if the listing does not say. Look at photos of mounting points and connectors; a broken tab can make a cheap part useless. For electronic modules, ask whether coding to your car is needed.
Read the seller’s feedback and return policy. Heavy or bulky parts cost a lot to ship, and parts coming from another country may bring import duties or VAT. Pay through eBay so its buyer protection applies.
Plans for a parts hunt and the first email
Free checks one search every 30 minutes. Starter, $5.99, checks five searches every 10 minutes, enough for several parts on one car. Pro, $14.99, checks twenty with the fastest checks we run.
Your provider decides where a new sender lands, so check spam after the first match, mark the mail as wanted and add the sender to your contacts. Each mail has an unsubscribe link.
❓Frequently asked questions
Can I search for a part for two different cars?
Yes, as two searches. Free covers one; Starter and Pro cover more.
Will I get mails for parts already on eBay?
No. The first check records the existing results, and only parts listed afterwards come by email.
Does MXSender check that the part fits?
No. Fit depends on your search and on the seller’s details; check the part number before buying.
Can I search eBay Motors in another country?
This page covers ebay.com. Use its item location filter to find parts located in the country you want.
What if the part never appears?
Widen the search with an alternative part number or a compatible model, and replace the link in MXSender.
