Power tools and workshop gear on eBay, in your email

A tradesperson who needs a second impact driver by Monday and a hobbyist slowly kitting out a garage both want the same thing from eBay, which is to hear about the right tool when it is listed.

3 steps

Set up in a minute

  1. Search on eBay, sort by newest

Search by battery platform and model

Open Business & Industrial or Home & Garden and the tools section, then search the brand and the battery platform you already own. Filter by condition (new, used, for parts), price and item location or ships-to. Pick Buy It Now if you need it this week, sort by Newly listed and copy the link.

  2. Copy the link, paste it into mxsender

Add the link to MXSender and choose email

Paste it on the MXSender website or into our Telegram bot, select email and confirm your address. Give the search a name like „18V bare tools“ so the mail is easy to sort.

  3. New listings land in your inbox

Review the mail on your break

When a check finds new tools, one email lists them all with title, price, a link and a photo when the seller added one. No new listings, no mail.

Stay on one battery system

The cheapest cordless tool is the one that runs on batteries you already own. Bare tools, sold without battery or charger, are often listed well below kits, and they are the best value if you are already on that platform. Put the voltage and the brand in your search and add „bare“ or „tool only“ when that is what you want.

Kits make sense for a first tool or when you need a spare battery anyway. Keep the two as separate searches; their fair prices are different and mixing them makes the mail harder to read.

Corded machines, voltage and heavy freight

Corded tools and workshop machines are built for the mains of their home market: 110–120 V in North America, 220–240 V in much of the world, and some site tools in other voltages again. Check the rating plate before you buy across a border.

Bench machines, compressors and generators are heavy. Read the item location, the shipping cost to your country and any import duties or VAT on arrival; for big machines, local pickup near you is often the only deal that makes sense, so set item location accordingly.

Signs of a tired tool in the listing

Look for photos of the chuck, the blade guard and the vents: heavy dust and burn marks suggest a hard life. Ask whether the tool runs smoothly, whether batteries hold charge and how old they are, and whether anything has been repaired. A listing marked for parts is exactly that.

Check the seller’s feedback and return policy. eBay has buyer protection for purchases that go wrong; read its terms before relying on it for used equipment.

One mail per check, and the plans behind it

Email fits a tool hunt that runs alongside work: one mail per check, readable on a break, filed into a folder you can search later by model. Your provider decides where it lands, so after the first match check spam or Promotions, mark it as wanted and add the sender. Every mail has an unsubscribe link.

Free covers one search every 30 minutes and one address. Starter at $5.99 covers five searches every 10 minutes and one address. Pro at $14.99 covers twenty searches, the fastest checks and three addresses, so the workshop email can get them too.

❓Frequently asked questions

Can I exclude listings marked for parts?

Yes, by leaving that condition out of your eBay filters before copying the link.

Does MXSender tell me the tool’s voltage?

No. Check the listing photos and description, or ask the seller.

Can I watch drills and saws separately?

Yes, as separate searches; Free covers one, Starter five, Pro twenty.

Is there a mail when an auction is ending?

No. Mails are about new listings in your search.

Will my first mail be full of old listings?

No. The first check records the current results; mails start with tools listed after that.
